Love is Letting Go

Greetings, Loving Warriors,

This is the week of LOVE…celebrating Valentine’s Day! Taking a yoga class can be a great way of opening up your heart and mind to the calm of what is, to the excitement for possibilities, and to the acceptance of change in our relationships and our lives.

When we think of love, we think of holding and grasping on to what we want and value. But what if we looked at love as a letting go? I think of the quotation (altered in translation) by Tao Te Ching when he said,
“If you realize that all things change, there is nothing you will try to hold on to.”

There can be peace in realizing that everything is impermanent. Even relationships. And although there can be truth to the expression, “My love for you is ever true,” love can change, alter, grow, diminish, and/or strengthen. It surprises us with how much we have of it, or how much it can suck the life out of us. It brings us joy and pain…butterflies and darkness. We dare to love even knowing that it can be a risk. So we are Loving Warriors. We dare to love but we do so with the willingness to let it change us and to accept that it is going to change.

Here is the yoga schedule for the week. Let me know when you would like to attend:
