Greetings, Playful Peeps,
What did the yogi say to the door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesman?” (I don’t know. What?) “Too many attachments!” 
Don’t you just love a good yoga joke? The concept of yoga and jokes don’t usually go together, but what if I told you they do?
This week in our yoga class we will practice the Sanskit word and concept of “Sthira-Sukha” which roughly  translates as, “Steadfast/Strong and Joyful/Playful.”  We need both in our yoga: executing serious, strong poses to help us to grow in physical confidence while we also maintain a sense of internal levity to deal with our stress. This is Sthira-Sukha.
Part of our fun will be doing what I call “Silly Poses and Breaths” (although they are very beneficial and authentic) like Alternate Nasal Breath, Lion’s Pose, Frog Pose, and Breath of Joy.
